Lucky In Love (Extended Version)

In 1985, Mick Jagger released his first solo album “She’s The Boss”. It was produced by Jagger himself with Bill Laswell and Nile Rodgers and included an incredible (and endless) list of guests: Pete Townshend, Sly & Robbie, Bernard Edwards, Jan Hammer, Herbie Hancock and Michael Shrieve. Just to name a few. To promote the album, Jagger made videos with Julien Temple for five of his album’s nine songs and later the footage became the (bad) homemovie “Running Out Of Luck“: which featured Mick as the main actor and Dennis Hopper, Rae Dawn Chong and Jerry Hall as co-starrings. “Lucky In Love” was the second single from the album, with guests Jeff Beck on guitar, Wally Badarou on Keyboards, Guy Fletcher and Herbie Hancock at the synthesizers. Extended remix by François Kevorkian and Ron St. Germain.

P.I.L. – Rise (Instrumental)

A big favorite. I honestly prefer the later 1988 Bob Clearmountain remix over the original 1986 version. But, the original instrumental version I think is the real deal: where you can hear in full glory the dream team behind this track: Bill Laswell, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Tony Williams, L. Shankar, Steve Vai and of course John Lydon.
